If you order a scooter or moped that requires assembly and you are not comfortable assembling one of our moped scooters or motorcycles, we suggest you have a certified mechanic assemble and prep it for you. Often, a certified mechanic will charge a nominal prep & assembly charge. Check your local area for certified mechanics or scooter stores.

If you elect to assemble your scooter or moped, you must have it approved by a certified mechanic before riding. Any injuries or damages sustained during assembly to you or your moped scooters are your sole responsibility.

When riding a scooter, moped, dirt bike, go-kart or ATV, we strongly recommend you always wear a helmet, eye protection, gloves, a long sleeve shirt, long pants and boots to protect you from debris, branches, and brush found along roads and trails.

Please ride with proper safety gear. Do not attempt any dangerous maneuvers and stunts. Neither the Sunny Side Scooter Store, SunnySideScooters.com or our partners and affiliates assume responsibility for any damage to property, products, or to any person sustaining injury or death as a result of purchasing any product from SunnySideScooters.com. Important:
Some states may require registration and insurance for your motorized vehicle. Check with the motor vehicle departments (MVD or DMV) for any specific governing laws required in your state. Also, some states may require a motorcycle license to operate moped scooters. Some states consider motorized scooters to be mopeds and fall under these guidelines while in other states you may not be able to register your motorized scooter or moped at all. Please check with your MVD or DMV before making your purchase.

If you purchase your scooter or moped through SunnySideScooters.com and subsequently discover it is unable to be registered or insured, you cannot return the product or receive any type of refund. No exceptions.

MOPED SCOOTERS SHIPPING

During shipping, nuts and bolts could loosen. Make sure you tighten all nuts and bolts before riding your scooter, moped, ATV, bike, etc. And make sure you have a certified mechanic approve your scooter or moped for riding conditions.

Neither Sunny Side Scooters or our partners and affiliates can guarantee delivery schedules. We have no control over the freight companies. As soon as we receive a tracking number for your shipment we will forward that to you with the name of the freight company and any other information available that will assist you in tracking your shipment. Sunny Side Scooters will also track your shipment until the actual delivery.

Important:
If you think your product may be damaged when it arrives, you should immediately file a damage claim with the driver and refuse delivery. Do not let the driver leave without filing a claim and obtain a copy of said claim. This will make it easier to process a damage claim with the freight company(s). Immediately contact customer service at the Sunny Side Scooter Store and notify us of the problem – please have your order number available. If the product is damaged during shipping, we will assist you to resolve the problem with the shipping company(s). The freight company(s) or couriers are solely responsible for damage sustained to your product while it is being shipped.

Your claim is with the freight company(s), not the Sunny Side Scooter Store, SunnySideScooters.com or our partners and affiliates.

If the product you ordered is left at your home or shipped to an address by a courier, and you see later that is was damaged, you must keep it exactly as is and notify the courier to return to the shipping address so they can inspect the damage. Do not open the package or crate and then attempt to file a claim as you will have destroyed any evidence. The courier will not process your claim on the grounds that the damage may have been caused after you opened the product.

It is your responsibility to pay any return shipping costs if assessed.

Whenever possible, regardless of the situation, take pictures of the damaged product, container, etc. that is being refused. If the driver is uncooperative, call the freight company(s) and immediately register a complaint. Make sure to obtain the signature of the driver for filing a damage complaint. Retain a copy for your records.

SCOOTER WARRANTY

Please check the details of a scooter’s warranty before purchasing. Different manufacturers provide different scooter warranties. Extended scooter warranties are available and must be purchased at the time of check out.

The following items are not covered by warranty under any circumstances on any products:

Labor, tires, rims, body panels, fuses, forks, shocks, gaskets, light bulbs, seats, cv boots, gauges, oil filters, air filters, fuel filters, any other filters, clutch wear parts, cables, drive belt, chain, spark plug. Any part made from rubber, belts, brake linings and / or pads, batteries, sprockets, external springs, clips, nuts, bolts, fasteners, frame.

If there is a problem with a faulty part(s) covered under your warranty, it is your responsibility to determine which part(s) is/are needed, contact ourmoped scooters department and notify us of which part(s) is/are needed and we will send you the part(s) accordingly.
